It's not Always about the Money
This is perhaps one of the most important secrets I can share when negotiating with people. When anyone sells something, they THINK that they must sell it for cash MONEY but is money the real end goal. This is a thought that needs to be challenged by helping the seller to consider another and better solution. What is better than money in hand?
Money is easily spent and gone, but an investment may be a far greater value.
Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) as others are getting rich with cryptocurrency.
An asset that defers taxes for years while it grows in value, whereas money is taxed as it grows in your wallet.
Holding cash is a depreciating asset, whereas most cryptocurrencies tend to appreciate.
Why take payment in cash instead of cryptocurrency? Why miss out on the future wealth promise of cryptocurrency for cash that doesn't last?
Change the Focus from cash MONEY to future wealth even if there are no guarantees, the reality is that cash is being phased out and cryptocurrency is the future.
We are not debating price or haggling with the seller. We are often willing to pay full price even a bonus a bit to help the seller see a better offer than cash in hand.
Who has the Power in the Exchange?
As the Buyer, you have all the power. If there is a lot of ready buyers, your power decreases unless the person really likes cryptocurrency. However, if there aren't many buyers, your power is the ability to walk away suggesting that you're leaving the door open if they change their mind. Some will see the value of what you offer, some will not. You lose nothing if the offer is not accepted, but you may win a lot if the deal is made.
It doesn't need to be more complex than changing the discussion from price to something better than money in hand. Master this concept and you will close deals and change lives
